Taking off from the Hato International Airport,
with a 9-seat Britten Norman Islander aircraft,
we fly by Playa Canoa, the windmills on the
Northeastern part of the Island, on our way
to St. Joris Bay at an altitude of approximately
450 meters; at this height, thanks to the
use of our "high wing" aircraft
we offer a wide view, it is possible to admire
perfect sight seeing the coast lines, streets,
houses and beaches.
On our flight we are able to see the ostrich
farm, privately owned East Point, with possible
viewing of some wild donkeys. With a clear
horizon the Island of “Klein Curacao”
will be visible, with its only large building,
being the Firetower.
After a turn in a westerly direction, we fly-by
the “Tafelberg” and Fuik. Following
the coast on our way to Spanish Water, Jan
Thiel, Seaquarium and Willemstad.
At Willemstad we catch a glimp of the the
historic Swinging bridge, extraordinary symbol
of the connection between the two parts of
the city, Punda and Otrobanda.
Going on with the flight in a westerly direction
we are able to see the Water Plant and the
hotels at Piscadera bay area.
Just before Bullenbaai making a right turn
to continue for a landing and flying over
“Grote Berg”.
